The Proposal

So I figured this was the perfect post to open up with on my new blog. Yesterday was one of the most exciting life changing days that I have ever had. It's a day that I will never forget. Ryan asked me to marry him, and I said YES! This whole week was so crazy with finishing up classes, packing my things, basketball games and just getting things done. Yesterday was pretty busy, Ryan worked in the morning. We went to lunch at Applebee's. We realized it was the only time all semester that we had gone to a sit down restaurant. It was fun because we dressed up all nice and it was fun to talk about stuff while we were eating. We then went to see "New Years Eve", we got there like 45 minutes early...Ryan always likes to get places early but that was a little much for me. BACKSTORY: Ryan had planned out an add on the previews before the movie. He was super ansy the whole time before the movie. The adds never came on and the movie started.
After the movie we had to rush to my championship game for basketball. We lost. We went back to Ryan's house after the game. We were both going off of like 4 hours of sleep from the night before. We watched an episode of Toddlers and Tiaras and then Ry said he wanted to take a drive. I had wanted to go look at the Christmas lights that people had put up so I was excited. We drove around and around. There weren't as many lights as I thought there was going to be. But it was still fun to be in the car with him, looking at the beautiful lights and listening to Christmas music on the radio. We found this really cool view of the temple. Ryan had claimed that he cracked his bumper so I got out and looked. It was absolutely FREEZING. I got back in the car and Ryan then wanted to take a picture infront of the temple. So we got out Ryan faked that his camera wasn't cooperating, I was freezing He looked at me and said, "You know what this is right?" He plopped down on his knee and asked me to marry him. It was so simple but so perfect. My ring is exactly what I wanted. Everyone says how "me" it is, and it really is!
I'm so excited to spend the rest of eternity with my best friend. He is always bringing out the best in me, he made me a better person without even trying. I know that marriage isn't going to be easy or perfect but I'm excited for what lies ahead of us. We're planning on the second week in April, around the 12th or so.
Here are a few pictures that we took that night, mind you I had just gotten done with a basketball game so I didn't look too hot. Love you all, xoxo
