I apologize for not keeping up with my blogging. As you can tell, the title of the blog has been changed (It took me forever to come up with the dumb name and I don't even like it so suggestions are being accepted.)Here are a few pictures of what we have been up to since being married. I know you have seen them all on instagram probably but I thought it would be fun to put them all together. April 4, 2012 We got married and stuff.
I know that everyone says that the day they get married is the best day of their life, but it really truly is. I had my entire family there (minus Drew and Micah), walking into the sealing room seeing everyone that I loved and cared about in the same room together was so amazing. I'm so grateful for everyone that came and for all the work that was put into our special day.
We lost Granny this year. She was one of the most beautiful and inspirational people that I know. She went through so many trials and tribulations in her life time but constantly kept a good attitude and smile on her face. I miss her sweet spirit but I know that she is happy with her family and with Peter. I'm so grateful for the knowledge that I have of eternal families, that I know that no matter what happens I will see my loved ones again if I continue to live my life right. Although, I wish our trip would have been for different circumstances I am so grateful for the opportunity that we had to go to Washington and Oregon and see our family and celebrate the beautiful life of Doris Lee Johnson.
This summer with both of us off of school we were able to spend lots of time outside. We did lots of bike rides, flying kites, cooking, and watching lots of movies. It was a beautiful summer. One of our favorite spots that we found this summer was the Sand Bar in St Anthony. I was really missing the beach and large bodies of water so we ventured out there. It was fun to get in the water, jump off the diving board into the river and throw a tennis ball around.
One of the greatest times that I have had in the "Beav" was this summer. We headed there for a week for a family reunion so that I could meet all the aunts and uncles and cousins. Ryan's birthday was also on the 22nd so it worked out great! We got to do so many things! Played bocce ball, went camping, went boating and skimboarding and had a great time with family! It was a great break from the "Burg"
I also had the amazing chance to go to American Fork/Provo for fourth of July with everyone! It was a total blast! We got to do so many things together and one of the things that made it so special for me was that Micah was there to share it with us. We ran a race (I walked with Dad and Brayd) for Daddy, went to the stadium of fire, played games, and had a great time! We also got to go to Bear Lake and hang out with the Sealy's. That was one of the best weekends of the whole summer. Ryan was able to come up for a few days and it was so fun to spend that time with him. I have missed the Sealy's, althought we missed Dev. I know he was looking down on us and smiling because we were together.
We have had the exciting chance to have Gracie up in Rexburg with us for school. It's been so fun to have her over to our place for dinners and to watch movies. I love having her close, because I missed her so much. Mom and Dad have also been up to the Burg TWICE this semester and both times have been so fun! I enjoy having them here so much because then it finally feels like home. I miss them, especially when they are traveling because I can't just call them up anytime I want. I'm so grateful for all they do for us.
I'm almost done, I promise. The last really great thing that we have gotten to do these past few months is go to Yellowstone National Park with Ryan's family. It was totally awesome! It was unlike anything I have seen before, and to think it's only about an hour from where we live. This world is such a beautiful creation and the Lord is such an amazing creator. I am so grateful for my amazing in-laws and the beautiful people that they are. The trip was something that I will never forget.
This will be the end of my obnoxiously long blog post. We have been greatly blessed with amazing families and friends, jobs and school. I'm so grateful everyday for the decision I made to marry this amazing man that I did. Until next time. xoxo
